Jesus on Sin

Was “sin” an important subject that Jesus spoke about?  Popular opinion, based on approximately zero knowledge of the Gospels let alone the entire Bible, would say “no, He spoke on forgiveness, love, peace, joy.”

Well, He did speak on those subjects, but it was because He and He alone came to deal with the deepest issue of all, sin, and its consequences.

Pasted in below are copies of several pages from a wonderful small book entitled:  The Greatest Words Ever Spoken, by Steven K. Scott.  That entire book consists of the words of Jesus as direct quotations arranged into subject areas.  (Of course we believe that God’s Holy Spirit speaks in the entire Bible, and so the entire Bible meets that test of the greatest words ever spoken).

See below what NT passages have been grouped by that author under the categories of “Sin,” “Sinners,” and “Sinful Generation:”
